The Craze of Social Networking

Social Networking seems to be the craze these days.
There are quite a 1000's of them and I'm sure more to come.

I have joined a few of social networking sites and find
they can be a very useful tool. The main benefit is to get
exposure. Self promotion and promotion of your business
if used properly, can bring many visitors. Unfortunately
there are a lot of marketers joining these social
networking sites that don't actually make any effort to
make any friends and using them to spam their business
opportunity. These people are not actually doing themselves
any favors. Don't get me wrong, Social Networks are a very
good place to advertise your business if you do it
properley and within the sites terms of service. Now most
sites do encourage self promotion, so use your profile
page and most sites have that facility. That's where you
should post your business opportunity. So you could have a
personal profile and a business profile.


When you setup your profile on these sites there is a place
to put your url or web site address. That's the first
place to start for your advertising. If you need more
exposure than that and we all need more exposure, there
should be an area within the site where you canpost your
business information. There are usually more that one place
to do that.


All social networking sites have forums or groups for a
variety of different subjects and topics. These range from
specific businesses to flowers, fishing, golf, to just
friends. You should go to the different forums or groups
and introduce yourself and get to know the people there.
You may be surprised that you will find people that have
the same interests as you both in business and no business.
Look out for those people who have the same interests.


You should not talk about business straight away. Spend
some time and get to know them first and build a
relationship with them. Get to know them and find out what
business they are in. Look to see if they have some other
interest that you can relate to.


Ok so you now have a warm prospect, now get to know them a
bit. Find out how they are advertising and what tools do
they use. You might find something you didn't know about.
You could be able to apply it to your business and maybe
become more successful. Make sure that you always share the
information that you have with them.


I find using social networking for business and pleasure
and it is very rewarding for my business but ultimately
friendships.


So if you are like me and you are constantly on the lookout
for new friendships and business contacts, these little
tidbits will help you build a stronger relationship with
your team. It can still be a numbers game but it is down to
you and ultimateley how you qulaify your prosects to start
with. You make strike it lucky and you might even find that
diamond superstar that will join to help build your
unstoppable team.


Make sure to always be yourself, be positive, polite, and pleasant.
